Wow, 200 days! Got up, ate a bit, and then Sharon (a girl in my section), her boyfriend (a bass player, playing in the Scouts in the US this summer) and I went to get breakfast. Around 11 we ended up at the rehearsal site. Watched some ensembles practice, did some stuff, got lunch, and then from 2-430 we had a cymbal sectional. Then we worked on our feature with the electronics until 5 or so, got dinner, and then from 630-1030 was working with the sound guys for the show. Had to set some things, and check it out, so it was a real stop and go kind of night.
Then, from 1030-1(am) was a cymbal sectional. We got some crazy stuff in our solos, and we tried some crazy stuff too. I learned the hard way that I cannot do a handstand and that being dropped on your head on a hard floor is painful. Also, that wearing cymbal gloves is not only good for you cymbals, but also your hands. I think this is the first time my hands have started bleeding because of drumline (even when I messed up before, it'd either just bruise or like, make the finger unable to bend for 8 months). But it's totally worth it.
But not it's like 2am, just reviewed some videos, and now I should get to sleep. Slaapwel!
Just saw this, Jack-Jack is a bass player in scouts this year, I'll have to ask him about the Belgian boyfriend.
